Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) completed its first Leadership Essentials in Action Program (LEAP) Bootcamp, bringing together emerging leaders from across our operations to strengthen practical leadership capability, collaboration and cooperation.

Held over three days in Savannakhet Province, the inaugural bootcamp brought together 18 participants from Maintenance and Operations, supported by four internal mentors and three members of LXML’s Training team. The program was delivered in partnership with training and coaching company Katalyst Partners and focused on translating leadership concepts into practical supervisory skills.

Throughout the bootcamp, participants engaged in highly interactive learning that combined facilitated discussions, practical exercises, self-reflection, presentations, and team-based challenges. The program encouraged participants to step outside their comfort zone, exchange ideas, and build strong peer networks across departments.

The program covered a range of core leadership capabilities critical to frontline supervision, including effective delegation, communication and team engagement, structured feedback techniques, safety leadership, and strengthening leadership accountability. Each participant received a dedicated workbook to support continued learning beyond the bootcamp.

To support the application of learning in the workplace, participants will complete individual Action Plans, translating key concepts into practical improvements within their own teams. Participants will also undertake longer-term workplace projects over the coming months, focusing on initiatives to improve safety, production, cost and team motivation. A team of internal mentors will provide guidance and support throughout this process.

The successful delivery of the first LEAP Bootcamp reflects LXML’s ongoing commitment to supporting and developing capable leaders. The strong calibre of participants highlights the depth of leadership potential within the organisation and reinforces LXML’s continued investment in its people as a foundation for sustainable operations.
